Anatomical study of the human Daddy

We like games. Wii, PS3, PSP, DS, Leappad, PC- BOARD GAMES. The list goes on.  Apparently, one day AG found his target much like an avid Wild Kratt hot on the tail of a wild animal, gushing over it's ever move in utmost wonder and amazement. The following were taken most likely when Daddy was catching up on Marvel Heroes as a sneaky AG took silent photos from Mommy's chair. Seriously, this kid could be a spy.

Frustration.

Contemplation.

Amusement.

Suddenly, not amused.

Indignant.

Calculating.

Malevolence.

Defeat.

Oh, look! The ceiling fan!

Smirk

ORIGINAL SMIRKY-SMIRK

And to improve upon said smirk, he taunts you with a second cartooned version in the same picture.

Video Killed the Radio Star

This is AG's first video! I felt and thought the following:
1. How cute! He's, well, vlogging.
2. Um, who does he THINK he's talking to? (answer BTDubs is "his fans")
3. I knew he was adorbs, but woah. I may be in trouble here!

This was closely followed by the viewing of AG's SECOND video he shot a day or so later. All I can say is "Wow" and "LOL!"

Teletubbies, Mario Bros and Peach, Oh My!

Now, this is only a small sampling of about 12 different adaptations of what seems to be a drawing of ... something. I wasn't quite sure what it was at first, so I began to scroll through:

Teletubbies? Hmmm, no, that can't be it. Teletubbies isn't around so much nowadays and I'm certain he's never watched an episode, let alone be able to draw them from memory.

Super Mario Bros Supershow? Mario, Luigi, Toadstool and Princess Peach?

And now the pointy head one has a beard...

And apparently Mario and Peach are in a bubble infested shower, a lil kinky, but then he's five. Bubble baths are probably the best most funnest thing in the world. Heck, I'd take my date there too!

Annnnnd now they're in the Forest. Hello Mr. Fox, good day for painting!

And this is when I figured it out. "Go Go Power Rangers".

Poor Kitty

We have one pet. A male half Maine Coon and half Siamese cat named Sirius (After Sirius Black, a dog, i know, but seriously the personalities of the two are uncanny).  So, imagine this misunderstood brooding yet loving male beast...minding his own business...enjoying the arm of my favorite chair he is NOT supposed to be sitting on. Enter AG.

Bored emo kitty, sunning himself and hating it.

Black and white emo kitty. Ahhh, that's much better! Do you feel the angst?

Disney princess kitty... wait, WHAT?!

It's a G thing

AG's new bed, reading nook and costume...department? Fortress of Costumetude?

AG as Irritable Wolverine

AG as Happy-Go-I'll-Cut-You! Wolverine

I'm still not quite sure how he manged hands free when I struggle with a one-handed selfie!

Let me introduce myself

This is AG.  He is five.
He loves Kindergarten, reading "chapter" books, playing soccer, singing, dancing and superheros.
He told me that when he grows up, he doesn't know what he wants to do, but, "it has to be someone that helps people who needs help and make them happy". and though he thinks it may be someone like a fire fighter, a doctor or a scientist he said, "I'm only five, and there are so many jobs I don't know about yet. I need to learn more before I can decide what I want to be."

For Christmas this year, we decided to upgrade his Leapfrog Leapster Explorer to a brand spanking new Leappad 2. Essentially, it's a tablet for young children you can pre-load with apps, games, music and books all safe and geared toward expanding a child's willingness to learn. It doesn't connect to the internet so there's no worries about needing parental controls or online safety.

Another feature that I hadn't expected my son to find so thrilling at the age of five was the camera and video recorder. One night he asked to show me his "art". I was floored. It was funny, it was adorable. It was decidedly precocious. It had to be shared.

This blog is going to be dedicated to the "art" my son has created and I have found on his new Leappad. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
